# Introduction

Welcome to the Arc and Vantage documentation. **Arc** is where you research, draft, and organise conversations in chat projects. **Vantage** is where you investigate evidence and complete repeatable work in workspaces. You can use both as a task develops.

## How the work fits together

An Arc chat project groups related conversations and their reference context. A Vantage workspace brings together people, collections of datasets, investigation in Explorer, apps, workflow runs, and outputs. A project does not grant workspace access or turn its files into datasets. You can export a selected Arc artefact and import it as a separate Vantage artefact; the chat and project stay in Arc.

Authorised authors build reusable methods in Forge. Assigned reviewers decide on exact output versions in Review. Console, Compliance, and the operator panel support administration, audit, and service operations. What you can do depends on your product role, access to the resource, and security classification.
